My path to financial planning was anything but direct. My background and degree were in social work, and I began my career counseling young people in the Chicago suburbs. That experience taught me skills that have remained central throughout my career: listening carefully, understanding what matters to people, and helping them navigate important decisions.

An unexpected opportunity at a life insurance brokerage firm introduced me to financial services. I quickly discovered that financial planning allowed me to combine my desire to help people with my interest in problem-solving and building long-term relationships. What began as an unexpected career opportunity became a profession I have found deeply rewarding.

What I value most about being an advisor is the trust clients place in me. Financial planning is about much more than numbers. Money intersects with family, independence, security, retirement, loss, opportunity, and the dreams people have for their futures. Clients often share concerns with their advisor that they may discuss with very few other people, and I consider that trust both a privilege and a responsibility.

My approach begins with listening. I want to understand not only a client's financial circumstances, but what they want their money to accomplish and what is important to them personally. I enjoy helping clients bring clarity to complicated situations, make thoughtful decisions, and move toward their goals with greater confidence. The relationships I've developed with clients over the years - and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives - continue to be what I enjoy most about my work.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my husband, exploring antiques and collectibles, writing, and spending time with our family and pets.

My professional credentials include ChFC®, CLTC® and CFBS® designations.
